Shane is an Arbuckle Leadership Fellow at the Stanford GSB and Co-president of the Environmentally Sustainable Business Club. His business interests are in technology solutions for clean energy and transportation, and this summer he worked at Primus Power, a startup producing batteries for grid-scale storage, and Samsung. Prior to the GSB, Shane spent four years working as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. in Tokyo, and was a founding member of the Climate Change Special Initiative in Asia. Shane was a University Medal recipient at the University of Wollongong in Australia, where he pursued a combined Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Arts program. He is bilingual in Japanese and is the bass guitarist for the GSB Band. Shane grew up in Canberra, Australia and his wife Mika is a native of Nagano, Japan.
