About
Phil is a hacker, electrical engineer, and entrepreneur turned management consultant who is now trying his hand at writing a book on the history of “phone phreaking.” He co-founded two companies after graduating with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, and then went on to get an MBA at MIT Sloan. Phil lives with his wife, Rachael Rusting, and enjoys motorcycling, welding, fire art, and the Burning Man festival.
