About

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Louvain as an Engineer in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Economics, Didier first worked on publishing his thesis, challenging the market efficiency hypothesis through artificial neural network algorithms and self-organizing maps. He then decided to combine his technical and economical background and worked on several consulting assignments leading to the end of the monopoly on the Belgian Utility market, collaborating closely with the regulators. He further built up expertise in the energy market and helped several clients turnover their civilian nuclear strategy, bringing them in the International Atomic Energy Agency’s best quartile and ultimately reverting phase-out political decisions. At Booth, Didier is pursuing concentrations in Finance, Accounting, and International Business. He is a Leadership Effectiveness and Development Facilitator for the incoming class of 2012 and a Co-chair of the Belgian Business Students. Pursuing a lifelong belief that business skills have an impact outside of business, he is Co-chair of Chicago Booth’s volunteering group Giving Something Back and is still actively involved in non-profit organizations he started on both sides of the Atlantic.
