Jimmy is a Managing Director of ValueAct Capital SmallCap Funds. Prior to joining VAC SmallCap Funds in June, 2007, Jimmy was a Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management, an alternative asset management firm with more than $35B under management. He was a member of the investment team for Oaktree’s private equity and distressed-for-control group, which managed over $5B. Previously, he was an Associate at Bain Capital, a global private equity firm based in Boston, Massachusetts, and began his career in mergers & acquisitions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Price has a B.A. degree magna cum laude in Economics from Harvard College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He has an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar and a Robert Toigo Foundation Fellow.
