Daniel is a Master's student in Computer Science at Stanford University, specializing in Real World Computing. He has been involved in computer graphics research at Stanford since 2006, developing innovative 3D modeling paradigms that make complex design tasks accessible to casual users. As part of this research, Daniel played a lead role in developing Dryad, a modeling tool that has been used by more than 17,000 people since its release. Additionally, Daniel has a strong interest in teaching and education, having been involved in Stanford's Section Leader program as well as spending two summers developing and teaching middle school math and science curricula. Daniel has also applied the machine learning skills he obtained at Stanford to problems in industry, developing automated spam detection tools for Facebook's Site Integrity team. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys singing, card games, and watching and writing comedy.
