Zirui (Colin) Wang is a master's student in the Computer Science department at Princeton University, advised by Prof. Danqi Chen in the Princeton NLP group and Princeton Language and Intelligence (PLI). He is broadly interested in the development of multimodal models in machine learning, with a particular focus on (1) understanding the synergy between model understanding and generation, and (2) post-training and evaluation of large multimodal foundation models. Colin has led and collaborated on multiple projects published in top venues such as ICLR, NeurIPS, ICML, and CVPR. He has also served as a reviewer for conference and workshop submissions in ICLR, NeurIPS, and ICML. Previously, Colin earned his B.S. in Data Science and B.A. in Cognitive Science at UC San Diego, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He has interned at Tencent and worked as a founding machine learning engineer at a Bay Area startup.
