Angelina Wang is a PhD student researching machine learning fairness and algorithmic bias. Her recent work has focused on better aligning our technical quantifications of fairness with the underlying normative construct we are concerned with. She has been awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Student Fellowship. She received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley, and has interned with Microsoft Research?s FATE (Fairness, Accountability, Transparency & Ethics in AI) team.
