Andrew received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis, where he did research in the Distributed Object Computer Laboratory. Contemporaneously, Andrew worked for CombineNet, Inc., as a Research Engineer and later as a Technical Consultant, where his research contributed to numerous publications and patents. In 2009, Andrew earned his Ph.D. in the Computer Science Department at CMU after he defended his thesis titled "Algorithms for abstracting and solving imperfect information games." Andrew is a partner and co-founder of Hg Analytics, LLC, a quantitative investment management firm based in New York and Pittsburgh.
