A master’s student in computer science at University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign, Wenqi is a member of the Data Mining Research Group led by Prof. Jiawei Han. Her research is focused on designing data-driven models for semantic analysis from unstructured text data. She has four research papers published, including one in the top conference in the field of data mining. She has explored a new problem in distant supervision and developed a partial label embedding method for fine-grained entity typing. She has interned in the data infrastructure team at Ebay, Shanghai, China and joined summer Intern program at Twitter in 2016. She received her B.E. degree in Software Engineering from Fudan University in 2015.
