Sally is pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the University of California Berkeley, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Computer Science. Her current research is in computational photography, and it allows her to explore both of these fields with the goal of automating the evaluation and improvement of aesthetics in photographs. This endeavor has also led Sally to collaborate closely with researchers in the Visual Perception and Aesthetics Lab in the Psychology Department. Sally also holds interest in computer animation. As an undergraduate, Sally joined the CS Illustrated project, where she contributed illustrations for posters and handouts that were designed to teach computer science topics and were distributed to the undergraduates in UC Berkeley. Besides art and computer-related activities, Sally also enjoys hiking, reading, and watching movies.
