Prior to matriculating at Chicago Booth, Rick earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. He spent the first five years of his career as an industrial engineer working for Northrop Grumman, a multi-national defense contractor. While working for Northrop Grumman, Rick developed an expertise in program scheduling that afforded him the opportunity to work on cross-functional process improvement teams at plants across the U.S. In this capacity he was exposed to the full product portfolio of his sector, including work on underwater, shipboard, ground, airborne, and space platforms. In addition, Rick led the creation of a company-wide manufacturing schedule analytics package. While at Booth, Rick plans to concentrate in Marketing, Economics, and Strategic Management. He is interning in his hometown of Cleveland, OH at McKinsey and Company.
