Raymond completed his MD/PhD training at The Johns Hopkins University, with PhD research in biomedical engineering. His thesis focused on the systems biology of inflammation through a multidisciplinary approach melding computational modeling with experimentation. He has authored 24 publications to date in journals such as Science, PNAS, and Nature Nanotechnology, including a paper featured on the cover of Science Signaling. He founded and served as CEO of Euveda Biosciences, a biotechnology startup that aimed to commercialize technology for drug screening that Raymond developed for his PhD studies. Currently, he works for a biotechnology investment firm based in NYC. In his spare time, Raymond serves as a reviewer for the NYC Interscholastic Math League and dabbles in algorithms to predict the winner of sports games. Prior to Hopkins, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, receiving a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, served as the President of the Engineering Student Council, and won the School of Engineering Dean's Award.
