Dr. Rachel Miller is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Biochemistry at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Rachel is interested in how the nervous system interacts with the musculoskeletal system, and she is particularly focused on studying osteoarthritis-associated pain. Rachel’s Ph.D. work at MIT with Prof. Alan Grodzinsky focused on developing methods for delivering growth factors to musculoskeletal tissues. Rachel was an active part of the Biological Engineering Department at MIT, serving on the Graduate Student Board and as a mentor to undergraduate researchers. Rachel also received a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Pennsylvania State University where she graduated summa cum laude with honors and was chosen as Student Marshal.
