Paul NARCHI holds a Ph.D. in energy science and image processing at the Ecole Polytechnique. His research focus was image processing of scanning probe microscopy images to investigate nano-defects in crystalline silicon solar cells. During his Ph.D., Paul has filed 1 patent and authored 3 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has also won 1 student award at the major European Photovoltaic conference. Regarding his academic background, Paul holds an Engineering Diploma of Ecole Polytechnique with a strong focus on “XXIst century energies.” He also holds a Master of Science in Renewable Energies Science and Technology of Ecole Polytechnique. Paul did two internships in the USA before starting his Ph.D. He continued international experiences during his Ph.D. through teaching solar energy science in Wuhan, China; participating in European research collaborations; and presenting his Ph.D. results to SunPower, a major solar module company based in San Jose, CA.
After his Ph.D., he continued in research related to sustainable development and sustainable habitat. He is now working as a data scientist with Saint-Gobain.
