Patrick Ye is a PhD student in the bioengineering department at Stanford University. As an undergraduate, Patrick completed a B.S.E. in biomedical engineering at Duke University. At Stanford, he is doing research in Kim Butts Pauly’s lab, investigating the mechanisms underlying ultrasound as a tool for neuromodulation. Patrick has also been involved with teaching, serving as a TA for an imaging class, assisting other TAs as a TA mentor, and co-leading the Bioengineering TA Mentorship program. In addition to bioengineering, Patrick pursued the Masters of Medicine at Stanford, taking medical school classes to inform translational applications for his research. Outside of the lab, he volunteers with the Cardinal Free Clinics as a preclinical student and Mandarin and Spanish interpreter. He also interned at Boston Scientific prior to beginning his graduate studies.
