Loren is an A.B./S.M. student in Computer Science at Harvard University. His academic interests include data management and software systems. Loren has done research into storing, compressing, and querying provenance data for Harvard Forest under Professor Margo Seltzer. For three years, Loren has been working part-time as a software developer and systems engineer for Clearwater Analytics, a reporting firm providing web-based solutions for investment portfolio analytics. At Clearwater, he pioneered the development of a comprehensive testing system to ensure software integrity and data accuracy. Originally from Colorado, Loren moved east for college, and currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his lovely wife, Erica, and adventurous two-year-old daughter, Sophia. An Eagle Scout, he enjoys a wide variety of hobbies, from camping and biking to board games and Shakespeare.
