Krystal Cowan is the external chair of the Stanford GSB Student Association’s International Committee, a member of the Student Association Senate, a Vice President of the Social Innovation Club, and a former MBA Admissions Ambassador. Since coming to the GSB, Krystal has pursued her interests in leadership, management and international development. Krystal spent this summer interning in the Program-Related Investments team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, learning how innovative financing mechanisms can be used to help solve social problems. Prior to business school, she worked for four years in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in Australia, focusing on Industrials and Consumer & Retail M&A. Krystal holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne. She grew up in Penola, Australia, and enjoys travelling, cooking and learning Spanish.
