Karl Werner is Co-President and CFO of the International Development Club at Stanford GSB. While at the GSB, his interests have been focused on international development and social innovation, and this summer he worked in Oakland at a non-profit organization which offers employment services for people with recent criminal convictions. Prior to the GSB, Karl spent two years as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Mexico City, where he worked primarily on projects in the health care and financial services industries. Previously, Karl was an analyst at Dresdner Bank AG in Germany where he developed the annual budget of the Wealth Management division. Karl received his undergraduate degree at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and was awarded the DZ Bank award for best German-language finance thesis in 2007. Karl speaks five languages, and is a native of Bad Mergentheim, Germany.
