Brendan spent five years in the US Navy’s submarine service, where he developed passions for leading people and solving complex technical problems. As a nuclear-trained officer, he directed tactical operations overseas during an eight-month deployment, supervised extensive emergency maintenance to the ship’s reactor, and earned a Masters Degree in Engineering Management while out to sea. After his tour, Brendan transitioned to MIT Sloan after his tour to better understand and apply innovations in organizational design and behavioral leadership theory. At Sloan, Brendan has eagerly taken on leadership roles in the student senate, the Veterans Club, and the Tech Club, is spending his summer consulting with Bain and Company in Boston, and will TA courses in Managerial Communication this fall. He holds a B.S. from Yale University, where he led the Lightweight Crew team to 3 national championship medals as captain.
