Eric is currently pursuing a Masters of Engineering, with an emphasis on Visual Computing and Computer Graphics, at UC Berkeley. His undergraduate studies in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences program at the same prestigious college sparked his interests in visual computing. During Eric’s undergraduate years, he worked as a research assistant and programmer at the Sight Enhancement Lab in the Visual Science department. Using computer modeling and image preprocessing/filtering, Eric aims to better understand the visual abnormalities in low-vision patients and help reverse or mollify the retinal distortions.
Eric previously interned at a startup company specializing in android devices for children. He helped enhance the company website and database testing procedures. He was also a developer of a computer game designed to raise awareness of health issues, and is currently starting on an online project with some of his fellow graduates to teach basic financial skills to new college students.
