Jonathan Hartje

Before joining the MSE program at CMU, Jonathan was a full time member of the technical research staff at the Applied Research Laboratories at the University of Texas at Austin (ARL:UT). His area of specialty was designing and implementing prototype software architectures for high frequency sonar systems for underwater obstacle detection and avoidance. He is currently designing an autonomous vehicle controller framework for unmanned underwater vehicles. In the fall of 2009, Jonathan will be developing a reference implementation of this framework for testing with a next generation vehicle sponsored by an independent research and development grant with ARL:UT.
