About

Maral is an Associate Director for Corporate Partnerships in Caltech’s Office of Technology Transfer and Corporate Partnerships. She is responsible for establishing and maintaining long-term partnerships between Caltech and corporations. Maral works with companies in the private sector to understand their research interests, technical challenges, and long-term business strategy in order to identify collaboration opportunities of mutual benefit. Maral joined Caltech in 2015 as a Licensing Associate where her responsibilities included managing intellectual property portfolios for Caltech researchers, developing patent prosecution strategy for the goal of commercialization, and negotiating licensing and research agreements with both industry and Caltech entrepreneurs. Prior to joining Caltech, she worked at Medtronic in the Diabetes Division initially as a Systems Engineer managing projects to develop continuous glucose monitoring systems and later as a Product Manager.
