Paul founded Capillary Biomedical, Inc., a medical device firm that developed the SteadiSet extended duration infusion set to to help people with diabetes who pump insulin realize the promise of the artificial pancreas. In 2022, the company was acquired by Tandem Diabetes Care, maker of the market-leading t:Slim Insulin Pump. Paul's prior experience includes strategy, marketing and clinical management roles with Glumetrics, Abbott Diabetes Care, Baxter International and Arthur D. Little. He volunteers as a trail guide for the Irvine Ranch Conservancy and as a Commissioner for the Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America.
