Jorg grew up in Germany and came to MIT as an undergraduate in EECS. A fascination with microfabrication resulted in a focus on electrical engineering, and a Ph.D. on CMOS technology for RF power applications. After working at as an equity structured derivatives trader at UBS in CT for three years, Jorg returned to MIT working on research that combined microfabrication and neuroengineering. In 2018, Jorg joined MIT.nano as the Assistant Director of User Services at Fab.nano, where he assists with transitioning labs into the new nanofabrication building and acts as technical consultant to researchers using the fabrication facility.
