Every fall, Siebel Scholars, both students and alumni, come together with distinguished educators, current and former world leaders, renowned subject matter experts, and distinguished guests at one of the 10 participating universities to examine, discuss, and begin the process of finding solutions to a particular challenge facing the world.
As future leaders and innovators in business and the computer sciences, Siebel Scholars will have an enormous impact on the world. This forum helps prepare them for this role by connecting them with thought-leaders and fellow Siebel Scholars, giving them a wealth of information and insight about critical issues from some of the best minds in the world.
The 2007 Siebel Scholars Conference will focus on the Economics of Alternative Energy. The conference will take place at the University of California, Berkeley, October 26-28.

The 2005 Siebel Scholars Annual Conference in Chicago focused on the scourge of methamphetamine use and how we can prevent
young people from getting involved in this devastating
addiction. Moderated by ABC news veteran Sam
Donaldson, it tapped a formidable panel of experts,
including the Honorable Michael Leavitt, Secretary of
Health and Human Services; Eames Yates, producer and
director of the HBO documentary “Crank: Made in
America;” David Murray, Ph.D, special assistant to the
director, Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP).
Subjects of past conferences have included global terrorism,
nuclear proliferation, and justice in America.
